A few prayer requests...

UPDATE...labs came back and she has MRSA. MRSA is a highly contagious, antibiotic resistant form of staph. We'll be getting tested tomorrow.

First for John's mom, Patsy. She's in the hospital with pneumonia, again. John stopped by yesterday and found her not feeling well. She also has swelling in her legs and sharp pain in her hip but we're not sure of the cause yet. She had an ultrasound on her legs to check for a blood clot and an x-ray of the hip (no sign of fracture).

Secondly, for our dear friend Tom. He's in the hospital with a terrible case of pneumonia. Their community hospital misdiagnosed him earlier in the week then sent him to Mayo when they figured out what was really going on. (luckily, Mayo is about 45 min. from their house)

His right lung did not show up on the x-ray, he has fluid inside and outside his lungs, and pus pockets in the right. He's in isolation and scheduled for surgery Monday after he's stabilized with some antibiotics.

Tom is young and otherwise healthy so we're hoping he'll pull through with flying colors. We know he's in good hands.
