It Feels Kinda Good!

Cross off two more!

I made charitable donations to two of my favorite causes: Helping Hands Humane Society and Smile Train.

Everyone knows what a humane society is and how much I love animals. Most of our critters came from puppy jail and kitty jail. I guess now they're on work-release!

Smile Train is an organization that helps children with cleft lip/palate problems around the world. The organization also helps train doctors in other countries so they can continue the good work.

I encourage everyone to find a worthy cause close to their heart and donate.

For my last birthday, my mom donated to an organization that provides school supplies to a child in a developing country.

Cool.

Greetings from Smile Train!

I recently came across you blog and wanted to say thank you from everyone here in the Smile Train office for your generosity. It truly means the world to us that you are helping us help these poor children all over the world.

Since we began in 1999, we have given over 355,000 children in 75 different countries not just new smiles but a second chance at life. With your help, we are getting close to a milestone goal where we will complete more surgeries in developing nations than children born with clefts!!

If you need anything, dont hesitate to email me at ajudd@smiletrain.org

Love it! My friend Sherrie and her husband Dick recently returned from China with their newly-adopted son, Samm, who is 3. He has a cleft palate and had already undergone two surgeries in China for correction. He will have another surgery here. Apparently, there are many children in the orphanages in China with this physical challenge.
